Sixth Sense Point of Sale retains over one hundred and twenty pieces of information on every item in inventory. This means that the more information you attach to an item, the more information can be generated with sales reports, and more information is available to you.
The Department, Category, and Family designations are shown. Case and unit costs are displayed both with tax and deposit and without. By entering just one cost in these fields, all the others are automatically calculated. Regular retail and Multiple/ Complex prices are shown and automatically calculated based on the profit margin you have entered. Or you can enter one selling prices and the profit margin and the remaining selling prices will be calculated.

You can view the item’s: sales by day, week and month, its receiving history, store location, sale prices, dates for automatically putting that item on sale, two period tracking dates, the entire sales history of the item, and more.
Adjustments
Sometimes you have to make an adjustment to an inventory record due to breakage, theft or other reasons. Sixth Sense lets you easily alter inventory counts so that you can keep an up to date inventory value, and therefore the correct report on your gross profit. Adjustments include a record of who made the adjustment and why.
When performing a routine count of the total inventory in your store, use a Portable Data Collector from Sixth Sense Software. The Data Collector scans the shelf tags you printed with Sixth Sense Point of Sale, which include barcodes for items. Simply enter the quantity, and when you are finished scanning all your inventory, download the new count to Sixth Sense Point of Sale. Sixth Sense Point of Sale will then give you a report displaying the old and new amounts and amount of difference, then update your inventory automatically.

Apply Formula
Sometimes a supplier will change their name, or you otherwise need to alter a broad range of items. Sixth Sense Point of Sale allows you to create formulas for easily altering all the items you need to in a single batch, rather than individually. Change prices, margins, departments, or any other data field with the click of a button.
Automatic Sale...
You can automatically have items go on sale and then automatically return to the pre-sale prices. Just select a start and end date for the sale and the sale price or margin in the item's file and Sixth Sense Point of Sale will automatically lower the price at the sale start date and then automatically raise it at the end of the sale. This means not having to change each item on the start and finish dates, and prevents items being sold at sale prices inadvertently when the sale is not yet or no longer on.
When you start up Sixth Sense Point of Sale in the morning, you will be reminded of the upcoming sale and the need to print new shelf tags (labels). Sixth Sense Point of Sale will know which items need new shelf tags and automatically print them at your command.
Custom Descriptors
Sometimes you need custom fields for designating an item other than size. Create any field you want color, style, model number, etc to suit your own business needs.
Dept., Cat., Families
Simply putting items into a single vast inventory isn’t enough for most business. Sixth Sense Point of Sale allows you to designate inventory items by Department, Category, and Family allowing you to organize your inventory in multiple ways. This means you can create reports and track movement on items and sections in many different ways for improved analysis and cross reference. The number of Departments, Categories and Families are limitless so you can be as specific or vague as you need.
Duplicating Records
Create new items quickly and easily. If you have items that are very similar except maybe for size or color and you don't want to enter all the same information over again in a new record, Sixth Sense Point of Sale allows you to copy all the data from one record and paste it into another. Then all you have to do is change what you need and the PLU Number (barcode number).

Sixth Sense Point of Sale includes a complete custom label making program. Make labels for envelopes and folders, or use them as shelf tags which show the item name, size, your own descriptor and price. New shelf tags can be printed automatically when new items are created or altered and you can include barcodes on your shelf tags to make counting inventory with a portable data collector even easier. Sixth Sense automatically takes an item’s information from it’s inventory record for use in making a new label, saving you from duplicating that info to a whole new label making program. Multiple/Complex pricing breakdown will also be displayed on shelf tags.
Linking Items
With this feature you may link two items together. Receiving Inventory
There are two methods in which to receive data from an inventory order in Sixth Sense Point of Sale.
The first method lets Sixth Sense Point of Sale enter all the data. Bring up the corresponding order records for the items to be received using the Display Order button. Compare the original order with what was purchased, make necessary changes, then receive everything by clicking a single button.
You may also receive orders manually, useful if you weren’t able to acquire most of the items in an order. Here you will receive each item from the Receiving Inventory screen, which also displays all of an item’s information, and allows you to alter case cost, prices, etc. as you go.
Sixth Sense Point of Sale will automatically print new shelf tags for any items that have changed price during receiving. Just press the update labels button.

As you sell the item, the sound will be played for the customer to hear. You could play the latest jingle with the sale of a Pepsi or Coke or have the computer ask about a complementary product. When a customer buys pop ask them if they remembered the ice. You can use pre-made sounds, or use the computer to make your own.

The value of your inventory is an important figure, and Sixth Sense Point of Sale knows that, so inventory records are always kept current and accurate.
