Sales Reports

Sixth Sense has a myriad of sales reports for you to choose from. However, you also have the ability to create your own custom report on virtually any aspect of your business. These sales reports are a critical link between you and Sixth Sense Point of Sale, which allow you to improve and strengthen your business.

 

Top Sellers / Bottom Sellers
Sixth Sense Point of Sale will display for you all your best selling items and your worst selling items. Use this report to replace items, give more or less floor space to others, or notify you which would benefit from a price change.

 

Custom Report
As with inventory, till balances, suppliers and customers you can also generate custom reports with the sales records. Almost any report imaginable can be done with the custom report generator.

For example, you could report on how many items were sold between the hours of two and three on Wednesdays for the past twelve weeks. Every business has specific needs, and you can use Sixth Sense POS’s versatility to satisfy all your requirements.

 

Daily Sales
Sixth Sense Point of Sale makes it easy to quickly view pertinent information on a day’s activities. With the click of a button, see Today's Sales and any Previous Day's Sales. The screen display of each report will show you the gross sales, tax amount and net sales for the day. The ten different types of tender are shown with the amount and percentage of total sales each tender represents. Any amounts paid out or received on account are shown as well as any refunds and discounts.

View the number of customers, average sale per customer, number of items sold and average item price are shown. When you print the sales report all of the above information is printed as well as the starting and ending value of your inventory, the amount for receiving of new inventory and the gross profit and margin for the day.

Monthly Sales Totals...
This displays the quantity and dollar amounts of sales for each of the previous twelve months of the items selected from your inventory. The quantity and dollar amounts for all the items selected will then be added for each month and displayed in a layout shown below.

Daily Sales Summary
This report shows a list of each day’s total sales as well as the tax amount, net sales, type of tender and amount, and the other information collected for sales reports. Compare and contrast figures to analyze daily activity.

 

Dept., Category and Family
The sales by department, category and family report will break down your sales based on departments, categories and families. The dollar amount and quantity are shown for each department, category and family. The percentage of the total dollar and quantity amounts are also shown for each department, category and family.

You view reports just by department, with totals, or you can view the departments, cross indexed with categories, then cross indexed with families. Choose reports for any month, period A or B, or previous week.

 

Export Sales
You can export any or all of the information in the sales records to a text, SYLK or DBF file for use in any other program. For security reasons only the owner can export sales records.

 

Graphs
There are twelve graph reports pre-programmed in the sales reports portion of Sixth Sense Point of Sale so that you can view important data in refreshing visual formats. The graphs are for: customer count by day, customer count by week, customer count by month, quantity sold by day, quantity sold by week, quantity sold by month, gross sales by day, gross sales by week, gross sales by month, net sales by day, net sales by week and net sales by month. You choose the starting and ending dates for the report.

 

Hour Reports
Sixth Sense Point of Sale lets you break down your sales records to the point where you can view an hourly report on the amount of sales, number of items sold and number of customers for each hour of a day or days chosen by you. You enter the starting and ending dates for the report and choose which day of the week or all days of the week for the report.

For example, report on sales by the hour for Fridays in the 3 months ending March 31 or sales by the hour for all days during the year. This report is very useful for determine staffing levels or setting your hours of operation.

 

Movement Report
This report rates the movement of everything in your store to one another. It's a list of all items in inventory with the top sellers listed first. Each item has a number showing its rank in the list.

 

Paid Outs
This report will print out a list of the paid outs that were done through the till. It will display the date, receipt number, amount paid out, the supplier paid and the cashier number of the cashier making the payment.

 

Period Sales
With Sixth Sense Point of Sale you get to set two periods (other than the daily, weekly or monthly periods already used) where you can track sales (periods A and B). These can correspond to a sale period or holiday period or any time span that you want to track. The period sales report will show you the quantity and dollar amounts for each period.

 

Print Sales Records
This report prints out your selected sales records. Relevant data from sales are printed, one line each, on your full page printer. If you are not printing receipts or keeping a copy of each receipt (using carbonless receipt paper) than this will give you a hard copy of your sales records.

 

Quantity Sold By Item
This report shows the quantity and dollar amount for each item sold during a particular period chosen by you. The report can be for any or all items picked for the period your have chosen.

 

Report Week/Month/For...
Reports for Week, Month or For..., show the sales for the previous week, month to date or any days chosen by you. (With the For... report you choose the start and end date of the report and all days including the start and end date are used for the report. You can choose any two dates, they don't have to be in the same week, month or year.)

Sales Records
Any or all sales records in your data file can be brought up on screen for display. If you double click on any record you will see the cash register screen as it was during the original sale. From here you can modify the record, delete it or reprint it. Modifications can only be done by the manager or owner.
