Programming your Metrologic 9540 Barcode Scanner.
Step One:
Open the Metrologic Instruments inc. MetroSelect Single-Line Configuration Guide to PAGE 2.

Step Two:
Scan Enter/Exit Programming Mode
- 3 beeps will sound to confirm you have scanned this correctly

Step Three:
Scan Recall Defaults
- This is required every time you being programing. If you have made mistakes in previous attempts at reconfiguring your device, this will reset the scanner to its pre-programed starting point.

Step Four:
Scan Do Not Transmit UPC-A Check Digit (Page 60)
Scan Do Not Transmit UPC-A Number System (Page 61)
Scan Do Not Transmit EAN-8 Check Digit (Page 62)
Scan Do Not Transmit EAN-13 Check Digit (Page 62)

Step Five:
Scan Enter/Exit Programming Mode
- 3 beeps will sound to confirm you have scanned this correctly

Step Six:
You are now finished programming your LS 2208 Barcode scanner. It will no longer scan the check digits.

To restart this process at any time, scan Recall Defaults in the manual.
